Ingredients
ANEMARRHENA RHYZOME (Zhi Mu) 30g – enriches the Yin, Clears heat and moistens Internal dryness
CHINESE LOVAGE ROOT (Chuan Xiong) 18g – regulates the Liver Qi and invigorates the Blood
FRESH DRIED LICORICE ROOT (Sheng Gan Cao) 18g – tonifies the Spleen and moderates and harmonises properties of the other herbs
SOUR JUJUBE SEED (Suan Zao Ren) 45g – calms the Shen, and nourishes the Heart and Liver
PORIA MUSHROOM (Poria Cocos) 30g – quietens the Heart, calms the Shen and tonifies the Spleen and Stomach
Instructions
Pour 250ml of boiling water over 3 full tea spoons of grinded dry herbal mixture to make one serving of tea. Drink warm twice a day between meals.
Caution:
- This tea may enhance the effect of sedative–hypnotic drugs. Do Not Use this tea if using sedative–hypnotic drugs.
- Contains Licorice (Glycyrrhiza Root) which potentiates Prednisone and corticosteroids by prolonging steroid biological half life; caution in patients with hypertension.
- Avoid caffeine containing beverages (coffee, tea, cola drinks, guarana) especially in the afternoon
- Herbal Teas are usually well tolerated by majority of people. Occasional gastro-intestinal disturbances (nausea, abdominal bloating, diarrhoea or constipation) are possible. Our advice is that whenever you are starting any new herbal teas please observe yourself for any untoward reaction. If in doubt that you might not be tolerating the herbal tea, stop the herbal tea immediately and seek medical attention. Please take herbal tea 2 hours apart from any Western medicines.
